Mr & Mrs Murphy – homeowner
Who are they
Mr and Mrs Murphy had been living abroad for many years. During that time they had bought some Ex-local authority houses in the Morden area as investments. Each property had been rented for a number of years and had taken a lot of wear and tear.

What did we do?
On returning to England, the Murphy's decided that they wanted to settle in the west country and had been thinking of selling their properties but had heard that it would be difficult. They called us in to see if we could help them with a speedy sale. As there were 3 properties in total we suggested that we dress one first, sell it and move the furniture onto the next property. This way the furniture and accessory spend could be spread across the whole portfolio. We also agreed to use as much of the existing furniture as possible. Whilst they went away for a few weeks we set to work.

How much did it cost?
The total spend across the three properties was £5000 for the accessories and fees. A further £12,000 was spent restoring the buildings to good decorative order.

What was the result?
Because the property was so well presented the agents suggested that the first one was launched above the recognised market value for the road. The first property sold within twelve hours of launch, at the asking price, after a bidding war between the first two viewers. The following two properties had the same results with all the properties completing within six months of the project start date. The Murphy's were ecstatic and now live in a beautiful house in Exeter.
